Merseyside Police has arrested a man following a collision in Woodside this morning, Monday 2 May.
At around 6.30am, police received a report that a black Tesla car was in collision with a lamppost on Woodside Ferry Approach.
Officers attended and arrested a 48-year-old man from Bebington on suspicion of drink driving.
He will be taken into custody and questioned by police.
Enquiries into the collision remain ongoing.
