Tranmere Rovers boss Ian Dawes underscores the significance of the upcoming clash with Colchester United in rejuvenating the team’s season and returning to the path of victory.
Dawes acknowledges Rovers supporters’ recent frustrations, stating, “Our fans possess excellent football knowledge, I’ve consistently affirmed that.
“They are results-driven, they’d do anything to win games of football, they love winning games. If we’re all honest with ourselves, the position we’re in at the moment is not where we wanted to be.
“However, we are very confident and we have a big belief that moving forward on Saturday, it’s got to happen.”
Asked whether a lack of confidence may be affecting his side at the moment, Dawes responded, “Absolutely not. The belief in the group is always there, I’ve always felt that.
“They’re very confident in themselves and feel that they’ve got good people and good players around them. Going into every game they believe that they’re going to win.
“That’s the talk of it, we’ve got to make sure it happens on Saturday and three points is a must.”
