Cycling boy knocked off bike by driver in Liscard

A driver knocked a young cyclist off his bike this morning on Seaview Road in Liscard, near to the Kwik Fit garage.

The driver of a black Mini or SUV was in collision with the boy who received treatment for his injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle left the scene.

The boy’s age is currently to be confirmed and his injuries are being assessed at hospital. The extent of the boy’s injuries is unknown.

The incident happened at around 8.20am when, it has been reported, that the boy was on his way to school. Merseyside Police say they were made aware of the collision at around 10.25am

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said, “At around 10.25am this morning officers were called to a report of a collision on Seaview Road involving a cyclist and a black Mini.

“The boy who was riding the bike received treatment from paramedics near the scene.”

Enquiries are ongoing.
