Tranmere Rovers has confirmed that Saturday’s League Two fixture against Crawley Town has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
A spokesperson for the club said, “Despite the frost covers being on throughout the week and the best efforts of the ground staff, weather of temperatures down to -6 degrees Celsius have meant that the pitch is frozen and unplayable.”
The pitch inspection took place on Friday morning ahead of Crawley making the long journey up north.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course and tickets will remain valid for the rearranged date.
