Merseyside Police is continuing to appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Anfield on Thursday 18 August.
At around 3.30pm, officers patrolling the area around Breck Road, Anfield, sighted a man travelling along Breck Road on an off-road motorcycle, which was subsequently in collision with a telephone kiosk on the pavement.
The man was taken to hospital and treated for serious injuries that he is still recovering from.
The incident was referred by Merseyside Police to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as the injury followed recent police contact and is now being investigated locally by officers in the area.
Sergeant Simon Duffy from the Roads Policing Unit, said, “Since the collision officers have analysed various CCTV footage from the area and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“We are keen to speak to drivers of a White Ford Transit van, a black Kia Sportage and a black Mercedes C Class who were in the area, to ascertain if they have any dashcam footage of the collision or the moments prior.
“I would also like to reassure anyone in these vehicles that they are being considered as a witness and any information they give, could really support our investigation.”
“If you were in any of these cars and recall anything from this incident, or hold dash camera CCTV footage within the vehicle, then please get in touch as you may hold information that could assist our investigation.”
