Construction to start on ‘Tranmere Garden’ fan park at Prenton Park

The Tranmere Rovers Trust has announced that the development of Tranmere Garden (formerly referred to as the Fan Park) will start at Prenton Park shortly after the Easter weekend.

The construction is estimated to take around 26 weeks and is expected to be completed by late autumn when it will open to the public.

German Kraft has been selected as the official partner of the Tranmere Rovers Trust for the production and service of all beer at the Tranmere Garden site, which will feature a modern brewery.

In collaboration with the Tranmere Rovers Football Club and the Northern Terrace, the Trust has worked tirelessly to push this project forward and is thrilled to announce that construction will soon begin.

Ben Harrison, Chair of Tranmere Rovers Trust, said, “It has been a challenging journey working through planning conditions, build quotes, etc., but we are delighted that work will commence soon. We’re excited to bring a first-class hospitality venue to the ground that will be the envy of many clubs and one Tranmere Rovers fans can enjoy and be proud of.”

Nicola and Mark Palios, owners of Tranmere Rovers Football Club, said, “We have always tried to work with the various fan groups and this is a great example of the club working alongside the Trust to enhance the match day experience and bring a great hospitality venue to the area.”

Florian Bollen, of German Kraft, said, “The fans have really got behind this project and we are delighted to be a partner with Tranmere and the Trust. We are looking forward to beginning work in April and justifying the great support we have had since announcing our plans.”

Over the coming months as construction progresses details of opening dates will be announced.
