Creative & Production Agency Zút Media is helping charity partner, Claire House Hospice, launch its first-ever TV campaign.
The Liverpool-based agency has donated its services to devise a heart-warming Christmas fundraising appeal that goes live this week – including the Merseyside charity’s debut television advert.
Zút worked closely with parents, families, and carers to capture emotional and uplifting film content, as well as redesigning and animating the hospice’s Claire Bear mascot.
Audiences will be able to enjoy the television appeal and learn more about the charity’s work from this week following the launch of radio and online ads.
Claire House hopes the campaign will help raise awareness and funds over the festive period, to support the work they do with families across Merseyside and Cheshire.
The charity helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full, creating wonderful experiences and bringing a sense of normality for more than 400 families.
They provide services from their Hospice site in Clatterbridge and their new site in West Derby and rely on donations to keep the doors open.

Mark Hancock, Zút Media’s Managing Director and co-owner, said it had been a pleasure to work on the campaign – and bring the charity’s work to a TV audience for the first time.
As he explains, “We’re really proud to enjoy such a great relationship with Claire House and over the years we’ve always been happy to support them in any way we can, offering our creative and production skills.
“The work they do supporting families is invaluable and we wanted to bring those voices and experiences centre stage and to use TV to aim high and reach as many people as possible.
“We wanted to build on the work we’d done for them in the past and go even bigger, and television felt like the platform we needed. Their ‘Claire Bear’ mascot is instantly recognisable so we thought re-designing and animating her for new audiences, making her a character in a magical story book to guide viewers through the hospice and meet families, would be another great way to showcase the amazing work their teams do.
“Our team loved working on this campaign – we hope it prompts people to find out more about the ways Claire House can help people across the region and to dig deep to support them in any way they can.”
Claire House Hospice, Head of Fundraising, Clair Bedford, said they were delighted with the TV ad and couldn’t wait to see people’s reaction.
She said, “We wanted to find a way to speak to audiences about the work we do – and the many ways we support young people and their families – and the Zút team has captured that perfectly.
“Hearing directly from parents and carers, about the difference that respite and expert care can make to their lives, is really powerful. Being given the chance to do that via a TV campaign is something we’d only ever dreamed of. A TV appeal is a massive deal for us – it’s such a milestone – but it would have been completely out of reach without Zút being so generous with their time and continuing to provide their services for free.
