Wirral Chamber Music Festival is offering free tickets to children attending all the events over its third festival weekend.
Featuring a range of classical music concerts, there are six concerts to choose from in venues across the Wirral from Friday 30 June – Sunday 2 July.
Musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will perform alongside world-class musicians living locally and visiting international artists. The festival will also showcase young local talent in two concerts and includes a family concert for all ages.
Thelma Handy, Leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, who co-founded the festival, said offering free tickets to children was a key part of the festival’s ethos: “Our vision is to bring classical music into the community and to small venues that are accessible to more people.
“We are grateful to our supporters and sponsors who have enabled us to subsidise the cost of children’s tickets and create real community events across Wirral. We are also thrilled to be able to donate £1 for every ticket sold to Claire House as an important part of the Wirral community.”
