In the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division, Waggon & Horses hosted Lockdown FC having lost the reverse fixture back in November by the odd goal in seven, this time with goals from Dylan Owens, Calab Rose, Ellise Moore, and Samorry Touray.
Waggon were on the right side of the same scoreline on Saturday as they moved up to fourth. Aaron Pickavant, James Bignall and Adam Horrocks scored for Lockdown.
Chris Gear was a four-goal marksman for Blacon Youth Reserves as they hit five past Neston Nomads Reserves, with Jack Rowlands also bagging, in a 5-2 victory as Lucas Mckendry and Alex Lewis Butterworth replied for Neston.
An Ian Colligan double was not enough for Black Horse FC as Ben Dobie and Matty Leadham replied for Helsby 3rds to share the points.
The top game of the day In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship saw Newton Athletic Reserves take the points against Chester Nomads 4ths as goals from Liam Bradly and Dan Christian keeps “The Doves” top by a point.
FC Farndon, in second with two games in hand, continue to hunt Newton down and on Saturday eclipsed Cestrian Alex 4-2 with Sam Williams bagging a brace plus ace marksman Lee Parry continued his goal scoring form with a single, Aaron Lloyd also getting in on the act. Ashely Reed replied with both goals for Cestrian Alex.
Upton JFC Reserves had two hat-trick heroes in Sam Ismay and Ethan Ramsden, while George Widdowson netted a single against Hoole Rovers in a 7-3 win.
Port Sunlight Nomads took the points with goals from Mitch Francis and Ben Hunter in a 2-1 victory over Sutton Rangers FC.
In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 3, a Chris Kennedy double plus singles from Andy Thorpe and Jim Thompson gave Neston Nomads Vets the points to make it six wins from six as they dispatched Chester Nomads 4-1, with Tom Cains netting Chester Nomads consolation.
In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 4, FC Vaults Vets, with goals from Ben Davies, Alex Rowen, Adrian Croft and Graeme Harris, had a superb win against league leaders MSB Woolton Vets, Mike Jeffery grabbing a brace and Carl Finlay with a single for Woolton.
A Carl Fowlie double was enough for Dee Rangers Vets who saw off Crossway Vets 2-1, with Crossway’s goal coming from Drew Thomas.
