Chester and Wirral Football League round up, 24 September 2022

In the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division, Hoole Rangers FC stay top as they made it five wins from five against Helsby Thirds.

Ryan Primrose put Hoole in control with a brilliant free kick, before Josh Leach rounded the keeper to secure the three points and make it five wins from five. Colin Campbell put in a superb performance at the back to win Man of the Match.

Cole Saunders’ recent good form continued as he bagged a single for Neston Nomads Reserves as they ran out 2-0 winners away at Christleton FC. Aiden Middleton netted Neston’s other goal.

In the battle of the Horses, Black Horse FC won by the odd goal in five against Waggon & Horses with Kev Walker, Dylan Sanderson, and Paddy Fiddaman all netting for Black Horse in an excellent away win.

In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship, FC Farndon’s impressive start to the season continued as they trounced Port Sunlight Nomads 6-1. FC Farndon’s goals came from Lee Parry, Ben Parry, Dan Wagstaffe, Owen Mcgrath, Lewis Devoy, and Man of the Match; Sam Davenport.

Elliot Davies netted for Cestrian Alex, but it was not enough as Fergal Hichey and John Lally replied for Upton JFC Reserves to give Upton the points.

Tom Wynne Jones bagged a brace for Hoole Rovers, but it was not enough as Newton Athletic hit five as Danny Eaton bagged a hat-trick, supplemented with goals from Danny Mongan and Dino Rantos.

Chester Nomads 4th via a superb hat-trick from Trey Lattie plus strikes from Tim Ashbrook and Andy Caldwell resulted in a 5-1 victory against Sutton Rangers who replied through Ryan Dale.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 3, doubles from Colin Donny and David Steen saw Eastham Vets win by the odd goal in seven against Hartford Vets.

In another high-scoring game, Frodsham Vets beat Great Sutton Vets 5-4, whilst two Liam Golding strikes gave Winsford Town Vets the points against Nags Head Bunbury Vets.

Onto the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 4, and goals from Phil Goss and Phil Radcliffe gave Crossway Vets a good start as they beat Upton JFC Vets 2-1 with Mike Bryant replying for Upton.

Dee Rangers Vets with goals from Peter Mort, David Stockton, Michael Sirett and Richard Dalton saw them defeat Rake & Pikel Vets 4-2.
