The CWFL Life Members Cup third round kicked off last Monday and Championship winners FC Farndon had a resounding 6-0 win against Chester Nomads IV.
Lee Parry took his league form into the cup with a double, whilst Dan Wagstaff, Owen Mcgrath, Aaron Lloyd, and Ben Parry all got singles.
Blackhorse FC also won 6-0, defeating Crossway Vets (pictured). Michael Jeffs and Matthew Holt both bagged doubles as Will O’Leary and Ian Calligan netted singles.
Blacon Youth Club defeated Mersey Royal Vets 5-0 with the goals coming from Aaron Rowlands, Robbie Johnson, Chris Gear, Danny Davies, and Jack Rowlands.
Ellesmere Port Red Lions had Man of the Match Marc Evans on target with a brace to secure a 2-0 win against Parkfield Vets.
On Wednesday night, Ellesmere Port Town Vets secured a superb 3-0 victory against open-age Championship side Newton Athletic Reserves, with Joe Crane bagging a double and Todd Reid also netting.
Cestrian Alex had Max Forshaw, Josh Camy, and Andy Rowntree all on target to secure a 3-1 victory against Shaftesbury Vets who replied through Jimmy Gomes.
On Friday night, a hat-trick from Alex Lewis was still not enough as Neston Nomads Reserves went crashing out against Hooton Vets who smashed in seven. Dave Rudge netted twice with Chay Dysart, Shaun Cunliffe, Paul Cupit, Jimmy Cross, and Keiron Fleetwood all grabbing singles.
On Saturday in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship, Upton JFC Reserves signed off with a resounding 8-2 win against Orange Athletic, with Sam Ismay bagging a hat-trick, Cameron Dewhurst a double, and singles for Sam Crimes, Matthew Wood and Hal Senturk. Orange replied through an Owen Harris double.
In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 2, Rick Haddart inspired Ellesmere Port Red Lions with a Man of the Match performance as Lions followed up their midweek Life Members Cup win with a 3-1 victory against Tarvin Vets. Stuart Bailey grabbed a 30-yard screamer and Marc Evans grabbed another double.
CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 3 action saw Hartford Vets show no mercy against Great Sutton Vets winning 10-2, with Dan Bowen netting a hat-trick. Mark Cooper, Jordan Oldham, and Ash Ellis, all helped themselves to doubles, and Luke Wilkinson netted a single.
Phil Hamilton bagged a brace as Chester Nomads Vets saw off Winsford Vets 2-0.
Sam Bunbury also bagged a double for Neston Nomads Vets who accounted for Eastham Vets 2-1 and a four-timer from Henry Buckley inspired Nags Head Vets to a 6-3 win against Frodsham Vets as Alley Taylor and Rob Jones also netted for Nags Head.
In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 4, Woolton Vets had Mike Jeffrey, Carl Finley, and Ryan Ireland on target in a 3-1 win against Crossway Vets and despite goals from Rich Whincup and Steve Jones, Hoole Rangers came unstuck against Rake & Pikel, going down 4-2.
