CCTV appeal following Bromborough arson attack

Merseyside Police has issued a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist enquiries into an arson in Bromborough.

On Sunday 25 July between 11.30pm and the early hours of Monday 26 July, two men forced entry to a property at an industrial park on Dock Road South, Bromborough.

The owner of the site returned on Monday morning to find the offices on fire. No one was injured during the incident.

CCTV and witness enquiries were carried out near the site at the time of the incident and detectives have now issued CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.

Detective Inspector Barbara Hebden said: “This was a dangerous and reckless act of criminal damage where valuable tools and machinery were stored that has cost the owner serious damage to his business, inconvenience and stress.

“We have carried out a number of CCTV and witness enquiries and are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man pictured, or from anyone who may have been responsible or knows who is responsible, plus those in the area who saw the incident or have more details.”
