Detectives investigating an assault in Liverpool City Centre in October have issued an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with their enquiries.
At around 11pm on Saturday 30 October police received a report of an assault outside On Point bar on Victoria Street.
It was reported that a man was struck to the head with an ice bucket by another man.
Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to hospital for a serious injury to his eye.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing and anyone who recognises the man pictured, or who has any information, is asked to contact police.
Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said, “This was a nasty attack which left a man seriously injured and we are working to find the person responsible.
“The bars and restaurants in our city centre should be safe spaces for us all to enjoy and we simply will not tolerate such violence on our streets.
“If you recognise the man pictured then please let us know, as we believe he may hold information vital to our ongoing investigation.
“Similarly, if you were in the Victoria Street area on the evening of Saturday 30 October and witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious then do let us know. Information you hold could be vital to our enquiries.”
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook with reference 21000755521.
