The team at Bebington Care Home has been working hard to keep spirits in the care home up by spreading the Christmas cheer to its residents this festive season.
The team have had a full program of events and activities to keep residents engaged and entertained. This week they had a big musical guest visit Bebington Care Home, Nathan Eve, a professional solo acoustic guitarist.
Nathan displayed his wizardry with his acoustic guitar and performed a truly entertaining set which wowed the residents and had them singing along.
But the fun didn’t stop there. The team continued the musical theme by having a festive karaoke session that the residents got fully into the spirit of and really enjoyed. As well as a few fun games of trying to throw the hoops onto inflatable reindeer antlers that the staff were wearing.
Amanda Byrne, Care Home Manager, said, “Last year many events had to be cancelled and the so it has been great to be able to get back into the Christmas spirit and really put on entertaining and engaging activities for our wonderful residents” said
Earlier in the season the care home had the big Christmas lights switch on which brought that special Christmas look and feeling to the home. There has been the baking of Christmas cookies and cakes, the residents even tried a spot of festive floral arrangement to help decorate the home.
The home is also about to go through a one-million-pound refurbishment program designed to lift the reputation of the home and create a much-improved experience for the residents. The home wants to become a key part of the Bebington community and wants to create jobs in the local area.
