Britain’s Got Talent’s Mel Day headlines ‘The Story of Soul’ at Floral Pavilion

Hotfoot from performing Soul Man, I Feel Good, Land of 1,000 Dances and Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag on his journey towards the finals of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent, the hugely-talented Mel Day has joined the cast of The Story of Soul as the evening’s special guest.

Mel’s vocals grace the latest hit show from Entertainers – the producers responsible for the success of two of the country’s most popular touring concert shows – The Magic of Motown and Lost in Music. Entertainers are telling theatregoers to “get ready as Mel and the cast take audiences on a journey of sweet soul music.”

Hitting the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton, on 15 July, The Story of Soul will feature Mel in all performances. Producer James Taylor advises local theatregoers to “prepare to be taken on a journey of ‘Sweet Soul Music’ hits”.

He says, “It’s time to join the ‘Love Train’, as we give you ‘The Best of Our Love’ and show you there ‘Ain’t Nobody’ who does it better.

“Spanning a generation, the biggest hits of the greatest soul singers and groups the world has ever seen are brought to life with powerful performances from our talented cast and musicians.”

Featuring songs by Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind and Fire, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, The Pointer Sisters, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Ben E King, Barry White and many more, The Story of Soul promises the evening will be a “Night to Remember”.

Brand-new production The Story of Soul is set to follow in the footsteps of The Magic of Motown, which is now in its 17th year and has been seen by more than a million theatregoers.

“Get your tickets now, for the must-see show of the year,” says James. Tickets are available from the theatre box office: Floral Pavilion, 0151 666 0000.

This is a tribute show and is no way affiliated with any original artists/estates/management companies or similar shows.
