Birkenhead health club spreads Christmas cheer with toy drive for hospitalised children

Locally owned health club Anytime Fitness Birkenhead is encouraging the local community to put smiles on faces this Christmas with a toy and chocolates donation drive for Wirral Women and Children’s Hospital.

The popular health club, located near the Pyramids Shopping Centre in Grange Road, is aiming to collect as many toys and selection boxes as possible to gift to children who will, unfortunately, be spending Christmas in hospital this year.

The club will be accepting donations until 22 December before personally delivering the gifts to the hospital, for distribution to the children to open on Christmas Day.

“We’re delighted to be able to support such a worthy cause in the local community,” said Renata, the Manager of AF Birkenhead. “The team and I are incredibly passionate about giving back and at a time of year which is such a joyous one for many, we can’t forget about those who need our help and support.

“Our members and the wider community have been amazing, and we’ve seen people pop into the club with bags of toys at a time.

“It will make such a huge difference to the children and families in hospital this Christmas and we hope that we can make even a small contribution to putting some smiles on faces of people who are set for a challenging Christmas.”

If you’d like to donate a toy to Anytime Fitness Birkenhead, pop into the club during its staffed hours 9am – 7pm.
