Cheshire West and Chester Library Service has announced an event involving a best-selling crime author in Little Sutton.
Caroline Corcoran, author of the just-published psychological thriller ‘Five Days Missing’ as well as ‘The Baby Group’ and ‘Through the Wall’ will be giving a talk at Little Sutton Library on Thursday 23 June at 7pm.
Caroline lives in the area, less than ten miles away from Ellesmere Port. ‘Through The Wall’ came out in 2019, it was released across the world and was a Sunday Times Bestseller.
Her second novel ‘The Baby Group’ followed in September 2020. She has also worked for many successful magazines, including Stylist, Grazia and Marie Claire.
Caroline said, “I love being alone with my laptop writing but even for someone used to a very solo profession, the last couple of years in the pandemic have been extreme!
“So, it’s an absolute joy to be out and about doing author events like this one again and meeting and chatting to readers. Libraries have a special place in my heart too – as for many people, they are where the world of fiction really opened up to me as a teenager.”
Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins said, “This is an event not to be missed, we’re thrilled that Caroline is able to join us in Little Sutton next month.”
The talk will include finding out about Caroline’s background, how she got into writing and the inspiration behind her novels. Caroline will read an excerpt from her latest novel ‘Five Days Missing’. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
Tickets are £3 and available from the library or online via www.ticketsource.co.uk/cwaclibraries
