Bebington Care Home under new ownership

Bebington Care Home has been acquired by Calendula Group from Four Seasons Health Care and a £1m refurbishment programme will be carried out on the property.

A spokesperson for Calendula Group said, “Our plans are to enhance Bebington care home with a one-million-pound programme of refurbishment works that will lift the reputation of the home and create a much-improved experience for our residents.”

Experienced care home construction contractors Greenchurch Developments will be carrying out the refurbishment works.

The spokesperson continued, “We are very proud to care for our residents who are living with dementia, and we are pushing to find new and innovative ways to make our homes Dementia-friendly, this will be a core part of the refurbishment strategy of Bebington Care Home.”

The company intend to make Bebington Care Home a key part of the area by engaging with the local community on a regular basis, while also creating much-needed jobs for local residents.

Co-Director of Calendula Group, Philippa Williamson said, “We are very pleased to be operating this care facility and look forward to carefully managing the refurbishment programme to cause as little disruption as possible to the service users.

“The staff team are excited to see such an investment into the fabric of the building and we are liaising closely with the manager and staff so they have they feel fully involved in the colour schemes and re-branding. We have operational improvements to make as well but we know all our efforts will be worthwhile. Our aim being to offer five-star care in a luxurious, yet homely environment”

With Bebington Care Home being a purpose-built care home, this enables the company to facilitate their residents with similar care needs together, with four units providing residential and nursing care for up to 87 people. These include specialist nursing support, respite care, end of life care and general assistance with everyday living for people with dementia.
