Astronomical society to hold open day at Bidston Observatory

The Liverpool Astronomical Society is arguably the oldest continuous amateur astronomical society in the world.

Founded in 1881 the Society has over 140 years of experience behind it and can offer advice on a wide range of related astronomical subjects.

Members of the society will be at hosting an open day at Bidston Observatory on 6 May 2023 with solar telescopes to safely observe sunspots and solar flares and our Sun (weather permitting!)

There will also be an astronomical talk from one of the members of the society.

The event is free and everyone is welcome at Bidston Observatory, Wilding Way, Birkenhead, CH43 7RA on 6 May 2023 between 1pm and 4pm.
