Artists and makers to host Oxton Open Studios weekend

The third Oxton Open Studios event will see four studios and 10 artists and makers take part in this weekend event.

All studios are within a few minutes walk from Oxton Village, where you can browse, chat to the artists, or buy original pieces across every price range. In addition, the resident artists and invited guests of Wellington Road Arts Studio will be open for its, ’Made for Christmas’ event, where you will find a warm welcome and a good selection of artisan gifts.

Studio 1) The Gallery – 30 Templemore Road, CH43 2HB. Artist Lynda Roberts and printmaker, Gill Curry will showcase their mixed-media and printmaking works in Lynda’s wonderfully re-designed out-building

Studio 2) Slip and Tickle – 1 Kylemore Road, CH43 2HA. Is the beautiful self-built studio/workplace of potter Amila Ranasinghe who will have jeweller Lisa Waldman in weekend residence.

Studio 3) Kent St Studio, Kent Cottage, Kent St, CH43 6TX. Is the home-based art studio of painter/photographer Carol Emmas who will be hosting mixed-media artist Pam Pauling.

4) Christchurch Exhibition Space- Christchurch, Bessborough Road CH43 5RW. Where painter, Donalda O’Neill, artist Sue Watson, Utology handcrafted furnitures and artist, Kerry Dunning will be showcasing their works.

Flyers and maps are available from the Williamson Art Gallery and listed studios on the day.

The third Oxton Open Studios takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 25/26 November between 10am and 4pm
