Arrests after vehicles and property sprayed red in Bromborough protest

Officers have arrested three women following an incident in Bromborough on Thursday, 4 July.

At around 4.45am, officers were called to a premises on Tebay Road to reports of a vehicle in collision with gates and persons gaining entry to the grounds. Three people were detained.

A 40-year-old woman from Toxteth was arrested on suspicion of Aggravated trespass; Going equipped for criminal damage; Possession of an offensive weapon; and Criminal damage.

A 30-year-old woman from Hackney, London was arrested on suspicion of Aggravated trespass; Criminal damage; Possession of an offensive weapon; and Dangerous driving.

A 20-year-woman from Aigburth was arrested on suspicion of Aggravated trespass and Criminal damage.

A spokesperson for Palestine Action said that “activists have forced the site shut to prevent its contributions to Israel’s genocide – namely, its manufacture of parts for the F-35 fighter jets dropping 1,000lb and 2,000lb bombs over the most populated place on earth.”

All three remain in custody at the time of publication.
