A 36-year-old man has been arrested after an assault in Moreton.
At around 9.50pm last night Sunday 8 May officers were called to a report that a man was assaulted at an address on Meadfoot Road.
It was reported that the victim left the property and walked into a pub on Netherton Road before heading to Moreton Cross.
Officers spotted the man a short time later on Hoylake Road. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital with slash wounds.
A 36-year-old man from Birkenhead was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assault. He was taken into custody to be interviewed.
