A man has been arrested following an incident in Litherland this morning, Thursday 29 June.
Merseyside Police received a report at around 10.30am that a male had forced entry to a neighbour’s flat on Palmertson Drive whilst armed with a knife.
The man made threats to the occupants. He then left the property and was arrested a short time later.
The 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, aggravated burglary, possession of a bladed article, and criminal damage. The victims were uninjured.
The man remains in police custody for questioning.
Police are in the early stages of the investigation with enquiries continuing.
Anyone who witnessed it or has CCTV or doorbell footage which captured the incident is asked to get in touch.
