Appeal for information following disturbance at bar

Officers are appealing for more information after two men were arrested following a fight at a bar in Liverpool City Centre.

At around 1.30am on Sunday 26th September 2021,  a disturbance occurred between a number of people at Soul Train on Seel Street.

Two men, aged 29 and 36 from Liverpool and Bidston, were later arrested outside the bar after door staff broke up the fight. They were taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning and have since been released under investigation.

Police have carried out extensive CCTV and witness enquiries and an investigation is ongoing.

Detective Inspector Barbara Hebden said, “This was a reckless and violent incident that could have seriously harmed people inside the bar.

“Although the incident took place several months ago and two arrests were made at the time our enquiries are still ongoing and we are determined to find out the exact circumstances behind this dangerous incident.

“The fight happened during a busy time of the night when people would have been leaving bars, venues and nightclubs in the area. If you were on Seel Street at around 1.30am and witnessed the incident or anything suspicious and have captured images of those involved on Sunday morning please contact police as a matter of urgency.”
