Appeal for information following assault in Prenton

Merseyside Police has said that an investigation is ongoing following an assault of two men in Prenton last night, Sunday 11 July.

At around 8.50pm, an argument reportedly broke out in the beer garden of the Swan Hotel on Holm Lane, in which a glass was thrown at a man in his 20s, causing a head injury. A second man in his 50s received a facial injury and CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Lynsay Armbruster said, “We’re keen to speak to anyone in or near to the pub who saw or holds any information about this violent incident, which has resulted in two men being injured.

“We’re determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice, so tell us what you know and we will take action.”
