Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the arm in Walton last night, Thursday 28 July.
At around 6.30pm it was reported that a man received a stab wound to the arm on Gwladys Street.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injury and he has now been discharged.
It is believed the injured man was involved in an altercation earlier in the day with another male prior to being injured.
An investigation is underway and CCTV and forensic enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
Chief Inspector Kevin Chatterton said, “Enquiries are in the very early stages to establish what has taken place.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Gwladys Street at around 6.30pm this evening and seen or heard anything to come forward and speak to us.
“I would appeal for residents in the area to check your CCTV footage to see if it has captured any footage as it may help with the investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 22000545060.
