And, other more dogged encounters, away from home, where the team has ground out wins against tough resistance; most notably against Keswick where the odds were stacked against them.
This season’s squad, under Head Coach, Degsy Salisbury and his assistant, Tommy Banks, has really knitted together professional application, a genuine squad cohesion and a winning mentality.
By this stage in earlier seasons, Anselmians had used more than 50 players in the First Team. This season, a total of just 23 have been employed which is great testimony to the fitness of the squad and to the commitment of the players.
Not surprisingly, goal-kicker, Dai Morley, is the leading points scorer with a total of 155 including 3 tries. No.8 and utility back, Ewan Nolan, leads the try scorers with a massive total of 14 narrowly pipping James Whitehouse on 13 and James Otutaha on 12. Tommy Banks and Liam Sadler have 7 apiece, Will Grabe has 6 and Adam Bramhall and Paul Sherlock have 5 each.
