Adkins talks of team spirit ahead of trip to Gillingham

Tranmere Rovers manager Nigel Adkins has highlighted the spirit of his squad ahead of their trip to Gillingham this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

“We’re going away from home, Priestfield, they’re knocking on the door of the play-offs, obviously they got beat midweek up at Barrow so they’ve had the long journey like we exampled the previous week against Swindon.

“We know going down there, it’s going to be a challenge like every game is, but we know that we can win away from home.

“We know we’ve got a spirit about ourselves, we’ve got goals in the team.

“Sun Tzu, The Art of War, we’re aware of the strengths of the opposition, we know they can play, play direct, they’re a massive threat from set pieces.

“From my point of view, we know it’s going to be a challenging game but it’s one that we’re really looking forward to.”
