8-year-old Wirral girl shines in new feature film

Liverpool born, Wirral actor, Lucia Aliu is set to appear in the Amazon Prime Video feature film, Role Play.

Role Play stars Kaley Cuoco, David Oyelowo, and Bill Nighy and is out on Friday, 12 January 2024.

Represented by London and MediaCity UK based talent agency, Scream Management, eight-year-old Lucia is a pupil at Great Meols Primary School and is currently training at Stagecoach Wirral.

Lucia will be playing Caroline Brackett, the daughter of Emma (Kaley Cuoco) and Dave (David Oyelowo) Brackett. The film follows the marriage and secret life of Emma Brackett, as an assassin for hire. a secret her husband discovers when the couple decide to spice up their marriage.

Lucia auditioned for Scream Management in 2021, at the age of five and started her acting career in 2022, in the award-winning ITV Soap, Coronation Street as Maisy Wheatley, the daughter of Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson).

Lucia got the chance to work closely with soap regular Daniel Osbourn (Rob Mallard) during the “grief of Sinead” storyline.

Lucia has since featured in a number of commercials, including Duracell and Specsavers, as well as high-profile TV shows, including Hijack (AppleTV) starring Idris Elba, which she filmed concurrently with Role Play.

Lucia has recently been confirmed to appear in two further feature films. Despite her young age, Lucia has a CV mirroring that of a celebrity and is already taking the acting world by storm.
