Two men have been arrested after warrants were executed at properties in Wirral today, Thursday 2 March.
Officers Wirral Targeted Policing Team, working with Immigration and British Gas, carried out the law enforcement operation at three properties in Bromborough.
More than £200,000 cash has been recovered, with a further estimated £500,000 worth of Class A pharmaceutical drugs seized.
Two men, both 42 years and from Bromborough, were arrested on suspicion of the importation and supply of drugs and money laundering offences. They are in custody and being questioned by police.
Targeted Policing Inspector Michael McEvoy said, “We have been working towards issues on human trafficking and the illegal importation of drugs for a long time, and today’s operation was a significant find which has a massive impact on the community in relation to drug supply.
“If people are making money from supplying drugs and exploiting people then we will target them and bring them before the courts. If you have any information in relation to drug supply in your area please contact Merseyside Police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
