16-year-old charged with multiple burglaries and car thefts

Merseyside Police has today, Wednesday 26 October, charged a 16-year-old boy with multiple offences as part of an investigation by our Operation Castle team into burglaries in the Liverpool area.

The teenager, who is from the Liverpool area, has been charged with 12 burglaries, 11 offences of theft of a motor vehicle, two offences of being in possession of a bladed article and one offence of possession of a controlled drug.

The burglaries and thefts took place between 21 June and 14 August 2022 at addresses in the Clubmoor, Anfield, and Walton areas.

The teenager was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Youth Court today.

Operation Castle is the name for the Merseyside Police dedicated burglary team, which was launched in 2018.
